Where I like to post my thoughts on ceramic work I make and Ceramic work made by others that I like. Website: http://trcomptonceramics.com
Lots of copper pieces too. Actually the last item is an old fire extinguisher… awesome
Shot slides of some work today, hoping to upload pieces to the Etsy store for the sale. Check out the etsy @ TRCompton.etsy.com
Bisque fire time again!!!! This kiln has some work I am really excited about. It includes a nice oval dish, the sushi set pieces, some new cups, and some of the tea set pieces. Sadly, I have to wait. I wanted to fire it tonight but the pieces were still a little damp, so I decided to play it safe and let them dry a bit more before firing. Come Sunday I should have some more work to glaze.
These are the newest pieces posted to the ETSY shop…hope you like.
I have finally gotten my like around and magically gotten my ducks in a row enough to get an ETSY shop put together. All of you who have asked me about work should check it out. It currently only has a few pieces on it, but i hope to upload many more soon, so stay tuned.
Dear Tim Compton,
my name is Gianluca Gimini, I am a product designer from Italy. I am forwarding a link to my latest project hoping you might want to publish it on your nice blog. The Oh Khaki! bowl is ornamental and has no particular function (though it can be used as a fruit bowl) it measures 40 cm in diameter and it was made so far as a series of 20 multiples. If you want to check my website out it’s www.gianlucagimini.it
There you will find some orher stuff of mine (but no other ceramics at the moment…only for the moment though). I am available for any further information if you wish to publish my design.
I’m also trying to sell multiples on arcademi.com but my request is still pending so unfortunately there’s still no link to follow for who might wish to purchase it. Unfortunately for me I mean :)
Thanks for your time, best wishes
Gianluca

I got a request to post this, and I have to admit, I like it. Not really all that functional, but neat.
Some nicely finished Chris Gustin pieces. I had no idea that he sanded his pieces after they were bisque fired. That explains the soft surfaces his finished pieces have. Oh yea, that and a 5 day firing. I love those giant bowls.
This is the last of the cups, and I definitely saved some of the best for last. All of these pieces are great for drinking out of and using on any occasion. Let me know what you like at trcompton@gmail.com
